美國史丹福大學著名的化學教授,同時也是兩次諾貝爾獎得主-萊納斯‧鮑林 博士Dr. Linus Pauling指出,「人類所有疾病皆歸因於礦物質與微量元素的缺乏與失衡,只要找出根源、活化與維持細胞的正常代謝作用,疾病是可以改善和預防的。

 

他在1968年,首度以『細胞分子矯正醫學』之名,發表並支持主張此療法於人體細胞層面,有最完整的化學基礎。他認為:『只要給予身體正確的營養素原料,大部分的慢性病就會根除。』

     生命所需礦物質微量元素就好像空氣,水及土壤對全世界生靈的重要。土壤在人類長期過度開墾與重視量產的現代農業生產方式下,大量、超量的產出,將土讓中蘊含的礦物質元素與維生素物質耗盡,接踵的化學肥料、農藥、與添加劑及工業化環境中的重金屬污染下已失去原有地力的土壤,動物禽畜也在量產密集養殖的要求下,添加了抗生素、激素、添加劑----等。您必然能理解與想像這些食物能真的能帶給我們所需的營養嗎?不!一點也不!因為我們吃的是食品,而不是食物,而真正帶給予我們全方位的營養的是食物-大自然的食物。

但是…

依據聯合國環境與發展會議(地球高峰會)在1992年所發表的報告指出,過去100年內,世界各地的農地礦物質含量,平均減少百分之五十五到八十五。著名的胃腸內視鏡外科權威同時也是內視鏡發明者-新谷弘實醫師指出,日本農地的礦物質減少率為百分之七十六,這也表示:『只要充分攝取蔬菜,就能補充維生素和礦物質』的普遍想法,恐怕已經不是用在現代了。【酵素革命力p58-59 新谷弘實著 】

礦物質元素的需要性尤其礦物質與微量元素

 

根據美國國會第七十四次會期,第二次會議,參議院第二六四號文 

     「我們身體的健康,直接仰賴所攝取進入身體組織的礦物質元素,要遠比依靠在熱量、維生素、澱粉、蛋白質、醣類的消耗量上顯得重要多了。」      

    「你是否知道現今,我們大部份的人每一天因為某些食物嚴重缺乏養分而受病痛之苦,甚至到無藥可治的地步嗎?除非我們食物來源的貧瘠土壤,藉著適當在礦物質上的均衡得以恢復。」

        

   「令人憂慮的事實是,生長在好幾百萬英畝土地上的食物,包括水果、蔬菜與穀物,不再含有足夠量的礦物質。無論我們吃進多少食物,我們還是營養不良。現今沒有一個人能夠吃進大量的蔬果,用以提供礦物質來維持完美健康的身體系統,因為人的胃部無法大到足以容納大量的蔬菜與水果。」

 

「事實上,我們所吃的食物在價值上的差異性很大,有一些是根本不值得作為食物來吃。我們身體的健康, 直接仰賴所攝取進入身體組織的礦物質元素,要遠比依靠在熱量、維生素、澱粉、蛋白質、醣類的精準消耗量上顯得重要多了。」

 

    「這次有關礦物質的演講非常的新穎且令人驚訝。事實上,對於食物中礦物質瞭解的重要性是嶄新的,甚至在營養學的教科書中均缺乏此類資料。然而,這就是我們所關心的事。當我們探索的越深,越讓我們感覺驚訝。」

 

   「我相信你會認為胡蘿蔔只是胡蘿蔔吧?你會認為每一根胡蘿蔔,就其營養而言,會與另一根胡蘿蔔相同吧?其實不然,一根胡蘿蔔可能外形與吃起來,像另一根胡蘿蔔,但卻缺少我們體內系統所需,而胡蘿蔔應該足以供應的礦物質元素。」

  

  「實驗室裡的檢驗結果向我們證明: 今天我們所吃的水果、蔬菜、穀物、蛋品、甚至牛奶與三餐已經和幾個世代以前的同樣食物不相同了。這毫無疑問地,可以向我們解釋為何我們的祖先因對食物的選擇而身體健壯,我們反而營養不良了。」 

 

   「均衡和完備營養的食物,不再僅僅只是提供大量卡路里、某些維生素,或者固定比率的澱粉、蛋白質或碳水化合物而已。我們知道我們的食物中還需要具有某些特定的礦物質鹽類。」

 

「我們從卓越的權威研究中,得知一個很不好的消息就是,百分之九十九的美國人缺乏上述礦物質元素,而只要嚴重缺乏這些重要礦物質元素之某一種,的確會產生疾病。任何我們人體所需要之礦物質元素產生不平衡的攪擾或顯著的缺乏時,將使我們生病、受苦,甚至縮短生命。」

 

缺乏維生素時,人的身體仍可運用某些礦物質元素,若缺少了礦物質元素,維生素完全無用武之地。

 

「我們知道維生素是化學物質的複合體,在營養上是不可或缺的,也是維持身體組織細胞正常功能運作所必須的,任何維生素的缺乏會引起身體的異常與疾病。然而,一般人可能不太瞭解,維生素控制著礦物質元素的運用,而且缺乏礦物質元素的話,就無法執行任何身體功能上的運作了。缺乏維生素時,人的身體仍可運用某些礦物質元素,若缺少了礦物質元素,維生素完全無用武之地。」 

「的確, 我們身體的健康,直接仰賴所攝取進入身體組織的礦物質元素,要遠比依靠在熱量、維生素、澱粉、蛋白質、醣類的精準消耗量上顯得重要多了。」

  “Our physical well-being is more directly dependent upon the minerals we take into our systems than upon calories or vltamins , or upon the precise proportions of starch , protein or carbohydrate we consumes . ”

  “ Do you know that most of us today are suffering from certain dangerous diet deficiencies which cannot be remedied until depleted 501is from which our food comes are brought into proper mineral balance ? ”

  “The alarming fact is that foods ( fruits , vegetables and grains ) now being raised on millions of acres of land that no longer contain enough of certain minerals are starving us no matter how much of them we eat . No man of today can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply this system with the minerals he requires for perfect health because his stoniach is’n , t big enough to hold them . ”  

  “Th truth is that our foods vary enormously in value , and some of them aren ' t worth eating as food . Our physical well-being is more directly dependent upon the minerals we take into our systems than upon calories or vitamins or upon the precise proportions of starch , protein or carbohydrate we consumes . ”

  “This talk about minerals is novel and quite starting . In fact , a realization of the importance of minerals in food is so new that the textbooks on nutritional dietetics contain very little about it . Nevertheless , it is something that concerns all of us , and the fur - ther we delve into it the more startling it becomes . ”

  “ You ' d think , wouldn ' t you , that a carrot is carmt -the one is about as good But it isn ‘ t ; one as another as far as nourishment is concerned ? lacking in carmt may look and taste like another the particular mineral element which our quires and which carrots are supposed to contain . ”

   Laboratory tests prove that the fruits . the the eggs , and even the milk and the vegetables , the grain , meats of today they were a few generations ago ( which doubtless our forefathers thrived on a selection of foods that  e not What us ! ) 

   “No man today can his stomach with the because his stomach eat enough fruits and mineral salts isn ' t big ' ults and vegetables to supr he requires for perfect heall enough to hold them ! And we are turning into big stomachs . ”

  “No longer does a balanced merely of 50 many calories or and fully nourishing diet consist certain vitamins carbohydrates . something like or fixed proportion of starches , proteins or diets must contain in addition salts .”

   “It is bad news to learn from our leading authorities that 99 ( of the American people are deficient in these minerals , and that marked deficiency in any one of the more important minera ! actuallv results in disease . Any upset of the balance , any consi ( erable lack or one or another element , however mlcroscopic Ir body requirement may be , and we sicken , suffer , shorten our lives. ”

   “We know that Vitamins are complex chemical substances which are indispensable to nutrition , and that each of them is of importance for norma function of some special structure in the body. Disorder and disease result form any  vitamin deficiency. It is not commonly realized , however, any vitamins control the body’s appropriation of minerals , and in the absence of minerals they have no function to perform. Lacking vitamins , the system can make some use of minerals , but lacking viamins are useless.”

   “ Certainly our physical well- being is more directly dependent upon the minerals we take into our systems than upon calories or vitamins or upon the precise proportions of starch , protein or carbohydrate we consume . ”
